The students of SIS demonstrated exceptional skill and determination at the Judo District Championship and J&K UT Judo Championship held at MA Stadium from December 26 to December 29, 2024. Competing against tough opponents, the young judokas brought pride to the school with their outstanding performances.
District Championship Highlights were Total Participants was 9 Total Medals was 5, Gold 3, Bronze 2 and in J&K UT Championship Highlights are Total Participants was 3 and Total Medals was 3,Silver 1,Bronzewas 2, Abhilaksh (66 kg) Bronze (District), Dhruv (56 kg): Gold (District), Bronze (J&K UT), Nihar (40 kg): Silver (J&K UT), Suryavansh Chep (66 kg): Gold (District), Bronze (J&K UT), Piyush (35 kg): Silver (District), Abhipratap (55 kg): Bronze (District)
The exemplary performances of these young athletes reflect their dedication and the guidance they received from their Judo coach, Manish Chatwal, a certified black belt.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Shilpa Mahajan, Principal of SIS, expressed her immense pride in the students’ achievements. She encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in both sports and academics. “Your hard work and perseverance have brought laurels to our school. Keep aiming higher and achieving greater heights,” she said.
