In celebration of World Earth Day, Shubh International School proudly organized a Free Plantation Drive at Nirdosh Chowk, Akhnoor, reaffirming its commitment to environmental awareness and sustainability. The event aimed at inspiring local communities to take proactive steps in protecting and preserving nature.
The event was honored by the presence of DySP Virendra Gupta Sir and SHO Sanjeev Chibs Sir as Chief Guests, alongside Principal Mrs. Shilpa Mahajan and Vice Principal of School Mr Vikas Rathore . The dignitaries were warmly welcomed with planters and bouquets, symbolizing the school’s dedication to green values and hospitality.
In a vibrant display of eco-consciousness, students of Class 9 performed a thought-provoking Nukkad Natak (Street Play) at Nirdosh Chowk, conveying strong messages about saving the Earth and protecting our natural resources. Their performance captured the attention and hearts of the gathered audience. Adding further enthusiasm to the occasion, students from the school also conducted an Earth Day Rally from Shubh International School to Nirdosh Chowk. With placards in hand and voices raised, they shouted slogans like “Save Earth, Save Plants!” and “Go Green, Breathe Clean!”, spreading awareness throughout the streets of Akhnoor. The Chief Guests, Principal Ma’am, and Vice Principal Sir also took part in distributing free plants to the local residents, encouraging them to take responsibility for the environment by nurturing the saplings. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Mrs. Shilpa Mahajan expressed deep gratitude towards the people of Akhnoor for their active participation. She highlighted the importance of protecting our environment, our plants, and the Earth itself, stressing that such efforts must continue beyond Earth Day. She also appreciated the hard work of the students and thanked the Chief Guests for their gracious presence. The celebration stood as a shining example of how educational institutions can lead community efforts in environmental stewardship, leaving a lasting green footprint for the future.
